One-to-One Lessons

Offered both online and in-person, one-to-one lessons provide intensive focus and detailed feedback on work in every lesson, guaranteeing improvement

Most Popular Option

I highly recommend one-to-one lessons. Most of the spots I have on my weekly schedule are reserved for this lesson type. In these lessons, my students are able to get my full, focused attention. Students who have been with me for years in one-to-one lessons are often best equipped to begin higher level studies. Younger students who begin in group sessions often upgrade to one-to-one when they begin senior school and really feel the difference.

The majority of my one-to-one students prefer online, but in-person spots are also available.

Lesson Length

1.5 Hour Lesson

One-to-one 1.5 hour lessons allow me to take full responsibility for how a student progresses in the subject. I will be able to closely monitor the student every week, set tasks that the student can complete within the lesson and provide feedback, which will reduce the amount of work the student will have to do alone throughout the week before our next lesson.

1 Hour Lesson

One-to-one 1 hour lessons are also available, and will also allow me to fully dedicate the time spent to my student. This lesson length is great for weekly guidance on content and feedback on work that was done by the student over the past week.

I strongly recommend 1.5 hours, as 1 hour lessons will not allow for as much feedback on set tasks, meaning the student will have to handle more of the work themselves throughout the week. However, 1 hour lessons are still an effective option, especially for students in younger years.

Pricing & Lesson Types

Fees for one-to-one lessons start from as low as $75 per hour but vary depending on whether you're looking for English or maths tutoring, what year the student is in, whether you'd prefer online or in-person, 1.5 hours or 1 hour, as well as my availability. Please contact me for a free consultation to discuss fees and what type of lesson you'd prefer. I'm happy to talk for as long as you need so you're confident in what I can offer before we begin.

In-Person

For in-person one-to-one lessons, you’ll get a choice between the armchair and the work table, and you’ll only be sharing the space with me (and my two cats, Ivy and Eden)
